Assignment 2 (Poster and Seminar-Contemporary Issues in Asian Architecture)

In this research-based project, students are required to choose an issue observed from the site visit based on project 1 in groups of 6-8 people and identify a framework from the observations and research.

We are tasked to produce a topic proposal, research poster and a seminar video presentation through a research-based discussion with our group mates to understand the tradition, modernity and place identity in the selected contexts.

The expected outcome of the project is to be able to describe the historical development of vernacular architecture in response to its native context and explain the development of contemporary Asian architecture with the themes of tradition, modernity and globalisation.
