Reflections

Assignment 1: When first being assigned to this assignment, many students including myself thought that it would not provide us with much value as we are just reproducing the drawings of an architect by copying therefore not utilising the creativity of us architecture students. However we could not be further from the truth as this really helped us in the future assignments by giving us an insight into the brains of these architects such as why and how things they have done are done so.

Assignment 2: This assignment was a good continuation from assignment 1 as what we had learned was put to good use. Not to mention that this assignment taught us how to work better in a group especially when it came to the design of a structure as no two individuals would agree 100% on one of their designs. It was a good introduction to how the working world would be through the discussion and handling of teammates.

Assignment 3: Assignment 3 was by far the assignment with the heaviest work load. From the start to the end even though the earlier parts were a group work although the group work was more doable due to the number of teammates. Overall it was quite an enjoyable one as I personally enjoy the design process of designing a space that only I have a say in and only working with the tutor instead of other teammates.
