Assignment 1

In groups of 6 individuals with a mixture of students from semester 1.5 and architecture students from semester 2.5 & above / other programs, students were to select a type of house such as a corner lot of a double storey terraced house or a double storey semi-detached house to conduct an analysis on daylighting and thermal comfort and collect the readings. Students had to choose one space each that has issue on daylighting and thermal comfort and to identify issues at chosen space/spaces on daylighting and thermal comfort respectively. Once the issues were identified, students were tasked to come up with a design alternative on how to better the daylighting and thermal comfort of the chosen space and tabulate all findings and outcomes on 2 A2 boards.
